Urban Restaurant & Wine Bar is a small, family-owned restaurant on Darby Street, focused on genuine hospitality, European-inspired food, wine, cocktails and warm, professional service.
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and friendly Front of House team member to join our small team.
Previous experience working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment is essential. We are looking specifically for someone with restaurant or wine bar experience — fast-food experience alone is not suitable for this role.
Availability
Wednesday to Friday dinner service
Saturday lunch & dinner service
Additional Sunday day shift may become available with monthly events
About the role
You’ll be involved in all aspects of restaurant service, including:
Providing warm, attentive and professional service
Managing your own section during busy services
Taking food and beverage orders accurately
Wine sales and recommendations
Running food and drinks
Setting, clearing and resetting tables
Maintaining excellent venue presentation and cleanliness
Working efficiently as part of a small team during rapid-paced services
What we’re looking for
Previous restaurant experience is essential
Experience working in a busy, fast-paced service environment
Valid NSW RSA
Confident carrying plates, taking orders and managing a section
Friendly, confident and comfortable communicating with guests
Reliable and punctual
Able to stay organised and work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality
Cocktail and wine knowledge is highly regarded
