About the role
On Track Plant And Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic to join our team in the Bega Valley on the south coast of NSW.

This is a full time position, responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of equipment, Trucks and machinery.

What you'll be doing
Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of plant equipment including excavators, loaders, and compactors light and heavy vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems and brake systems.
Carry out inspections, testing, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and safety of machinery and vehicles.
Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used
Provide advice and guidance to equipment operators on proper usage and care
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required

What we're looking for
Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) as a Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems found in Plant & Equipment and vehicles.




Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently and safely in a workshop workplace
Good communication skills to liaise with equipment operators and management
Current driver's licence and forklift licence and Heavy Vehicle preferred
Must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
