A full-time position is available for a Translator specialising in Chinese, based at our Sydney office. The role involves the accurate and qualified translation of written documents between Chinese and English across a variety of subject areas, including legal, commercial, medical, and government.

Tasks include:

Translating written documents between Chinese and English

Reviewing and editing translations to ensure consistency and accuracy

Preserving the meaning, tone and context of the original materials

Applying appropriate terminology and formatting based on document type

Collaborating with internal staff to meet deadlines

Maintaining appropriate records of completed work

Essential Criteria:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a closely related field

Completion of a university-level translation course in Australia

At least three years of full time professional experience as a translator





Robust written communication skills in Chinese

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
