About the role
LakeHouse Books is a bookkeeping practice in Bunbury, looking after a range of business clients. The practice is growing and seeking to bring a Part-Time Bookkeeper on board. You will be working across a diverse client base, rather than sitting on one ledger all day.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 2:30pm at our Bunbury office, 22.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

What you'll be doing
Recording and processing financial transactions in accounting software with precision and attention to detail
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payment processing and invoicing
Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies or irregularities
Preparing reports for clients and management
Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
Assisting with payroll processing
Assisting with the preparation of BAS and IAS for review
Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures
Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters and account status
Liaising with external accountants
Building and maintaining spreadsheets
Some reception and general bookkeeping admin

What we're looking for
Solid bookkeeping and payroll experience




Proficiency in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
Advanced Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or working towards it
Excellent organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail in financial record-keeping
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
Effective communication skills
Professional integrity and confidentiality commitment
Reliable and wanting long-term employment

Highly desirable
Advanced payroll knowledge
Registered BAS agent
