About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook/Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare high-quality dishes, maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards, and help deliver a consistent dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to recipes and customer orders
Ensure all food is prepared to high standards of quality, taste, and presentation
Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen management procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen setting (including equipment and workstations)
Manage stock levels, rotate produce correctly, and minimise food waste
Assist with menu planning, specials, and adapting dishes for dietary requirements (allergies, vegetarian, etc.)
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Support and collaborate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff
Comply with all workplace health and safety and food safety regulations

About You
Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen (café,



restaurant, or similar)
Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Understanding of Australian food safety standards, allergen management, and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Current food safety certificate (or willingness to obtain one) preferred
Ability to lift and stand for extended periods
