This is a hands-on People & Culture role for someone who wants to work with the business, not sit on the sidelines as HR.

You'll report directly to the CEO, with a dotted line into the Group GM of HR - giving you day-to-day autonomy on-site with the backing and career pathway of a larger HR function behind you. They're looking for someone who understands HR, but is also prepared to have an opinion, offer practical advice, and help work through the best way forward.

The Business

Our client is an established Queensland business with a solid history and real momentum behind it. It's a hands-on operational environment with the qualities of a long-standing business, structure is already in place, and there's genuine scope to shape how People & Culture supports the operation day to day.

The Role

You'll be the senior People & Culture voice for a multi-site operational workforce covering everything from day-to-day employee matters through to workforce strategy. You'll:
Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team on people and operational decisions
Coach managers to confidently own and manage people matters within their teams
Lead employee relations, performance, and industrial relations
Improve engagement and connection across the operation
Manage recruitment and bring a resourceful,



practical approach to sourcing across the business
Drive workforce planning, onboarding, and retention
Bring market knowledge, ideas, and real options to the table
Support multiple operational sites, including interstate and SEQ travel

About You

An experienced HR/P&C; generalist who knows the technically correct answer isn't always the practical one. You listen first, genuinely consultative, someone who brings people with you rather than just telling them what's right, and you're equally comfortable in the room with a CEO and on the floor with an employee having a bad day.

Manufacturing, production, agriculture or another operational background is well regarded. Confident enough to hold an opinion and challenge when needed, but you do it by bringing people along, not by being the loudest voice in the room.
