About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Receptionist to join our specialist practice in Eastwood. Working closely with a Lung and Respiratory Specialist, you will play an important role in providing a welcoming, efficient and professional experience for patients, referring doctors and other healthcare specialists.

Previous receptionist experience is essential. Experience in a specialist medical practice or healthcare setting will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
Welcoming and assisting patients in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
Managing appointments, bookings and the specialist's diary.
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
Liaising with patients, GPs, hospitals and other healthcare professionals.
Processing referrals and managing medical correspondence and documentation.
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the specialist.
Maintaining accurate patient and practice records.
Performing general reception and administrative duties.
Contributing to a professional, organised and welcoming practice environment.

About You

To be successful in this role,



you will have:
Previous experience working as a receptionist; medical reception experience is highly desirable.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional, friendly and compassionate manner.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
Good computer literacy and general administrative skills.
A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small skilled team.

Applicants who speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese are strongly preferred, as these language skills will assist in communicating with our patient community.

Pay: $52,880.00 – $89,372.21 per year
