Dairy manufacturing company
Seeking a Technical Assistant to join the team on a maternity leave cover
Based in the Southern suburbs of Perth
Entry level role - full training provided
9-month casual contract, with potential to extend. Full time hours.
3-week rotational roster:

Week 1: 5am - 12.36pm (Mon-Fri)
Week 2: 5am - 12.36pm (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Week 3: 12.30pm - 8.06pm (Mon-Fri)

Duties, but not limited to:
Routine swabbing of production areas - food and non-food contact surfaces
Basic lab analysis of samples using in-house instrumentation
Prepare samples to be sent for external testing
Prepare laboratory reagents
Aid in production with labelling and collecting samples
GMP inspections and checking CCPs
General housekeeping

Skills/experience:
Bachelor of Science majoring in Food Science, Microbiology or similar
Understanding of GMP and HACCP
Excellent written and oral communication skills
High attention to detail and eager to learn
