About the Role
We are seeking an Asset Accountant for our team in Corowa, NSW on a permanent full‑time basis. The role reports to the Group Financial Controller and involves overseeing fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording, tracking and reporting of capital and leased assets. You will maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, support financial reporting, and contribute to strategic asset management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse CAPEX reports and reconciliations on weekly, monthly and annual cycles.
Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals and transfers of assets.
Partner with business units to manage capital budgets, project spend and related administrative tasks.
Collaborate with stakeholders and Head Office to ensure compliance with AASB16/IFRS16 regarding lease and right‑of‑use asset accounting.
Support leaders with data‑driven insights to improve cost control, forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards) preferred.
Solid performance mindset focused on results and value creation.
Adaptable, proactive with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to positively influence and collaborate across teams.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
Valid driver’s licence.
