Join to apply for the Vehicle Mechanic - Defence role at Ventia . Ventia is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join the Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Puckapunyal, north of Melbourne .
As a Vehicle Mechanic , you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and armoured tanks.
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
Qualifications
Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience
Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's Licence
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance

$50.79 an hour plus super
Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays
