About the Role
Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Executive Manager, this hands‑on role will be responsible for:
Managing the accounting function for all Group entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Coordinating and completing any external reporting requirements such as ABS surveys and requests from other authorities
Ensuring BAS is reported and paid consistent with federal/state requirements and Group taxation policy
Assisting with the Treasury function across the Group
Reporting on the financial performance of all Woods Group entities to Executive Management
Managing and leading the external audit process
Providing technical leadership and support to Accounting and Administration staff
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications,
skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting
CA or CPA membership
5 years industry experience in an agribusiness and/or processing and manufacturing workplace
Held a senior finance and accounting position including supervision of accounting and administration staff across multiple locations
Strong communication and organisation skills
Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software
Current driver’s licence
Experience within a large, family-owned business would be an advantage
