Remuneration: $76,334.46 to $79,995.38 + superannuation & leave loading
Join our team as a Technical Officer and make an impact on community safety. In this role, you'll inspect and assess roads and footpaths, identify and manage risks, respond to customer requests, and recommend maintenance solutions that keep our infrastructure protected, functional, and fit for purpose. Your work will help create a safer and more connected network for all users.
About the Role
The Technical Officer will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Undertake programmed Road Management Plan inspections of Council’s roads and other civil infrastructure assets as directed.
Maintain accurate, timely and fit for purpose recording of civil works records relating to customer requests, inspections and investigations.
Complete timely inspections related to customer requests for road and road related infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including by not limited to Local Government Act 2020, Occupational Health and Safety and the Road Management Act 2004.
Review and develop task management tools, such as spreadsheets and registers,
to support with information for departmental reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Relevant qualification in Construction, Civil Maintenance activities and/or relevant Local Government experience in a similar role.
Traffic Management qualifications.
Construction Induction Card.
Valid Driver’s Licence.
Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
Valid National Police Check.
