Moranbah Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis from late September through early November 2026. This is a five-week prospect in rural Queensland, offering up to 80 hours per fortnight across rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts. The successful candidates will earn between AUD$55.65 and AUD$70.82 per hour, bringing their emergency and rural nursing expertise to a busy regional facility.

Rural emergency nursing in a supportive regional hospital workplace
Preferred Requirements
Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing within a rural or regional setting
Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in a fast-paced emergency setting
Familiarity with Queensland Health systems, including ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small emergency team
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
Previous experience working within Queensland Health or Mackay Hospital and Health Service
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
