Job Description
SHANGLISH BROADMEADOWS PTY LTD Shanglish is seeking an experienced and motivated chef to join our professional kitchen team in Broadmeadows.
The successful candidate will prepare and cook high-quality Lebanese and modern Middle Eastern dishes using fresh ingredients, traditional cooking techniques and contemporary presentation methods.
The Chef will assist with menu preparation, food quality control, stock management and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen.

Task & responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements.
Plan and develop menus in consultation with management.
Estimate food requirements and control food and labour costs.
Maintain stock levels and order kitchen supplies.
Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency.
Supervise and support kitchen staff.
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen.
Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualification & experience




Relevant qualification in commercial cookery (Certificate IV, Diploma or higher) or equivalent.
A minimum of one year of post-qualification experience as a chef, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
Sound knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
