The Role
An opportunity has become available for anEnrolled Nurse (Surgical)to joinGold Coast Health(GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Effectively manage self and work with the Nurse unit manager, Clinical facilitator, and Clinical Nurse to meet professional development needs
Be actively involved in a Quality portfolio as delegated
Be required to work a full range of shifts to meet our 24-hour service
Practice to full scope as set out by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
Surgical Specialties Unit is a 28 bed unit that specialises in the delivery of Urology, Gynaecology, Gynae-oncology, Major Head and Neck surgery as well as General Ears, Nose and Throat, Maxillo-Facial and Plastics care.
Patient numbers undergoing Major Head and Neck Surgery and Gynae-Oncology surgery continue to grow.
Ongoing growth of the Plastic service also continues including major flap reconstructions, these services continue to increase the acuity of the patients.
