Ready to take the next step in your veterinary nursing career and help shape the future of a growing clinic?
Greencross Robina Village is seeking an experienced and qualified Head Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is ready to step into a leadership role, mentor and support colleagues, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our clinic.
Perfect for someone looking to develop their leadership skills without the pressures of a large, high-volume practice, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while enjoying the support of a small, collaborative team.
Our clinic is currently undergoing an exciting revamp and period of growth, and we're looking for someone who is passionate about helping shape what comes next.
About our clinic

At Greencross Robina Village, you'll be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together and values open communication, collaboration, and work-life balance.
We're committed to creating an environment where our people feel supported, respected, and empowered to achieve their goals.
Robina Village is a small, friendly practice made up of 2–3 veterinarians, 2 veterinary nurses, and a Practice Manager—a perfect environment for someone who enjoys being part of a tight‐knit team where everyone plays an important role.
Our clinic features:
Surgical theatre
Digital X-ray and ultrasound
Modern anaesthetic equipment
Separate cat and dog wards
Whether you're assisting with surgery, caring for hospital patients, supporting clients, or working alongside the team to improve clinic processes,
every day brings variety and opportunity.
About the role
This is currently a part-time position (3 days a week ~ 28.5 hrs a week), with the clinic operating Monday to Thursday.
With an additional veterinarian joining the team in January, there is potential for the role to become full-time in the future.
As Head Nurse, you will take a hands‐on leadership role supporting both the clinical team and the day‐to‐day operations of the clinic.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, mentoring, and developing the nursing team
Creating a positive and collaborative team culture
Managing workflow and supporting daily clinic operations
Assisting veterinarians with medical and surgical cases
Performing nursing duties including anaesthesia monitoring, pathology, patient care, and hospital management
Supporting high clinical standards and patient outcomes
Contributing ideas to improve clinic processes and efficiency
Building strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and service
Helping drive the continued growth and success of the practice
This is a role where you'll have genuine influence on team culture, clinical standards, and the future direction of the clinic.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)
Has 2–3 years of veterinary nursing experience
Is ready to step into a leadership position and support their team with confidence
Has previous mentoring or leadership experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Demonstrates solid communication and organisational skills
Is confident working in a busy clinical environment
Has a team-oriented, team-first approach
Brings initiative, reliability, and a positive attitude
Enjoys contributing ideas and helping teams grow
Has experience with RxWorks (desirable)
Most importantly, you're passionate about veterinary nursing, enjoy supporting others, and are excited about being part of a clinic that is growing and evolving.
