Building Industry Training is seeking motivated individuals interested in starting a career as a Painting Apprentice. Please note: we are the training provider, not the employer. The Painting Apprentice will be employed directly by one of our client companies, while Building Industry Training delivers the formal training and provides ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship.

About the Role
As a Painting Apprentice, you will work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification while gaining hands‐on experience with your employer. Under supervision, you will learn how to prepare surfaces, apply paints and coatings, and carry out finishing work across residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing interior and exterior surfaces (cleaning, sanding, patching, priming)
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and textured finishes using rollers, brushes, and spray systems
Protect and mask surrounding areas to ensure high‐quality workmanship
Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Work alongside qualified painters to learn industry standards and best practices
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times




Attend and complete all required training delivered by Building Industry Training
