Position Overview
Junior Medical Officer in Internal Medicine (11/05/2026 – 31/07/2026).
This locum role requires the staff member to be available for scheduled shifts throughout the internship period.
The position is based in a designated general hospital located 384 km north of Adelaide.
Shift Schedule
Monday 11th – Friday 15th May
Monday 18th – Friday 22nd May
Monday 25th – Friday 29th May
Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July
Monday 6th – Friday 10th July
Monday 13th – Friday 17th July
Monday 20th – Friday 24th July
Monday 27th – Friday 31st July
Locum is expected to be present at the hospital between shift times; a 30‐minute unpaid lunch break is required.
Shifts are not on‐call.
Starting rate of $140 per hour, pending review of CV.
Hospital and Location
The hospital offers emergency services, general medicine,



midwifery, surgical services including day surgery, high‐dependency, a children's health unit, palliative care, rehabilitation, renal dialysis and mental health services.
Integrated teams provide community health, community mental health, domiciliary care, palliative care and allied health services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.
The surrounding city is known for its coastal and outback scenery and has approximately 21,902 residents.

Qualifications
Candidates must be registered with AHPRA and have the Right to Work in Australia.
