We're hiring another lawyer to join our lean, high-performance team - and if you're a lawyer looking to broaden your horizons beyond a traditional legal career, this role could be for you.
You'll play a critical role in delivering outstanding legal services to our clients, whilst simultaneously helping to shape the digital product we're building to scale our impact.

The Role (What You'll Be Doing)
Own the Client Journey: You'll manage the client relationship and coordinate the visa application process end‐to‐end using the Matilda platform – from eligibility screening right up to lodgement.
Deliver Excellent Outcomes:
Work with senior lawyers and migration experts to prepare and review visa applications with a high attention to detail, and a focus on the client experience.
Streamline and Systematise: Identify workflow bottlenecks and help implement tools and processes that improve speed, quality, and consistency.
Wear Multiple Hats: Collaborate across functions – in an early‐stage startup, you'll have exposure beyond pure legal work, including Operations, Growth and Product.
About You (Who You Are) Must‐Have
A law degree and 1–3 years of experience working as a lawyer.
Demonstrated track record of outperforming peers in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
High ownership and agency – you work autonomously, identify problems before they become blockers, and take pride in doing things well.
A client‐obsessed mindset – you consistently put client outcomes first, and use this to guide decisions and problem solving.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational ability and attention to detail under pressure.
Nice‐to‐Have
Experience in a startup, or in the migration or legal tech sector.
Experience using tools like Hubspot, Notion, Slack.
Interest in or knowledge of the Australian visa system (training will be provided).
