We are currently seeking an Transport Allocator / Administrator to join afood distribution company in Botany.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational, time management skills and a personable disposition to keep a team thriving and a desire to excel.
The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to positively join a team and roll with the punches, be flexible to handle anything that might come their way and display resilience during busy periods.
Objectives of this Role
Update the daily job roster spreadsheet.
Create, allocate, and release tasks using our electronic scheduling system for drivers and subcontractors.
Proactively communicate with clients to confirm truck requirements, provide updates on schedules, and address any potential issues before they arise.
Build and maintain robust client relationships by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring consistent follow-ups.
Coordinate subcontractor availability to meet project demands.




Notify task releases via our SMS messaging system.
Manage enquiries from drivers, subcontractors, and clients.
Assist in administration with major projects.
Skills Required
Punctual and reliable non-negotiable
Previous experience in a Fleet Controller/Allocator position in a multi-drop run
Highly developed IT skills and knowledge of computer systems
High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Prepared to work with a safety conscious team
Experience and Qualifications
Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office, transport systems and Outlook
Knowledge of transport industry
Must have 2 years experience in a similar role
