About the role
In the vacation student Mechanical Engineer role, gain hands‐on experience supporting the maintenance, reliability, and performance of mobile and fixed plant equipment across the mine site.
Some of your work may include:
Assisting with maintenance and reliability improvement projects.
Support inspections of mobile and fixed plant equipment.
Analyse equipment performance and maintenance data.
Contribute to fault‐finding and troubleshooting activities.
Assist with project planning, reporting, and documentation.




Work with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment availability.
Program locations
Cowal Gold Operations, NSW
A major gold operation near West Wyalong, with open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.
Roster: 5:2/4:3Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.
About you
We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands‐on and keen to grow their technical skills.
You'll be:
Studying mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated interest in maintenance, reliability or heavy industry.
A solid problem‐solver with analytical thinking skills.
A confident communicator and team player.
Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment.
Hold a valid manual driver's licence.
