Job DescriptionSMITH BROS PTY LTD is a family-owned company that has been serving the people of Western Queensland for over 50 years.
We operate a large modern hardware store in Longreach.
Our range includes everything that you would expect from a good hardware store as well as timber, sheeting, roofing, bulk cement, LP gas, glass, flat pack kitchens and many other products.
We are also fully registered commercial and residential builders.
We are seeking skilled and experienced Glazier to join our friendly and hardworking team.
Key Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Read blueprints and take precise measurements to ensure proper fit Cut and install glass for windows, doors, skylights, display cases, interior walls, ceilings, showers, mirrors, and storefronts Measure and assess the type and dimensions of glass and mirrors required for installation
Measure and mark lines or patterns on glass before cutting Use glass cutters and other equipment to shape glass to specifications Remove and replace damaged or broken glass and mirrors




Prepare surfaces for glass and mirror installation, including cleaning and applying putty, rubber, or silicone sealants to secure glass and prevent leaks Ensure proper alignment and positioning of glass and mirrors before installation Safely handle, transport, and secure large, heavy glass sheets using proper tools and equipment
Ensure to clean the job area once glass has been installed and the client is satisfied What we are looking for: Proven experience working in the same field
Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to work on scaffolding or ladders A high level of attention to detail
Excellent hand-eye coordination Precision cutting skills, and ability to read technical drawings Good communication skills
Enthusiastic and can-do attitude Ability to cope in a quick-paced environment Able to take direction while also working autonomously when needed

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
