ABOUT THE ROLE

The Administration Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Administration staff and activities within the Infrastructure Services Operations Department.
This position contributes to the operational objectives of Council's Infrastructure Services Directorate through the provision of high-quality administrative services across a number of work areas and a range of projects.
Under limited direction, this position is responsible for the governance of Council's Financial Management for the Infrastructure Services Operations Department through the provision of high-quality financial management services.
The incumbent of this role will be required to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Infrastructure Services programs, policies and procedures.
Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent – 72.5 hours per fortnight
Award: Level 4 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State ****
Salary Range: $90,418 - $95,198 gross per annum.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities |
Experience within a multidisciplinary, fast paced office/administration environment.
Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to plan, prioritise tasks and manager multiple projects simultaneously.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders from varying backgrounds, emphasising a customer service focused approach.
Well-developed supervisory skills, including the ability to motivate and drive continuous improvement practices.




Ability to prepare a wide range of correspondence and documentation including letters, reports, submissions utilising desktop software applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in updating and monitoring various databases, with an ability to determine and report basic trends analysis.
Flexibility to work across differing work areas
Essential Education/Qualifications |
Certificate IV in Business (or similar) or relevant experience
Essential Licences |
Possession and maintenance of a current Queensland 'C' Class Driver Licence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily an indoor role and requires sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting, which involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer and telephone.




May be required to carry out light to moderate manual handling, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, lifting and carrying.
