Qualified Dry Fire ElectricianTier One Fire Protection is seeking a qualified and experienced Dry Fire Electrician to join our growing team.

Tier One Fire Protection provides specialist fire protection design, installation, testing, servicing and maintenance across the commercial construction, building and retail sectors.
LocationThis position is based in Canberra, with work undertaken throughout the ACT and surrounding regions.
The RoleAs a Qualified Dry Fire Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
Installing, testing and commissioning fire detection, alarm and occupant warning systems.
Roughing-in electrical cabling and fitting off fire detection and warning system equipment.
Programming, operating and fault-finding fire indicator panels and associated fire systems.
Completing scheduled testing, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Diagnosing and rectifying faults in fire detection and alarm systems.
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, schematics and technical documentation.
Completing installation and service documentation accurately.
Supervising and mentoring apprentices when required.
Liaising professionally with clients, builders, subcontractors and other trades.
Working safely at heights and using ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Assisting other team members and divisions as required.
Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, legislation, manufacturer requirements and company procedures.
Following all workplace health and safety requirements.
About YouThe successful applicant will:




Hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent qualification.
Hold a current unrestricted electrical licence.
Have experience working with fire detection, alarm and occupant warning systems.
Be able to independently diagnose faults and complete repairs.
Have strong knowledge of electrical and fire industry standards.
Be able to read and interpret plans and technical documentation.
Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Be reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades.
Be willing to assist with the training and development of apprentices.
Required Licences and Qualifications
Current unrestricted electrical licence.
Current Australian driver licence.
Construction White Card.
Asbestos Awareness training.
Crystalline Silica Awareness training.
Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, First Aid and other relevant industry qualifications will be highly regarded.
