About the OpportunityCE Group is seeking two experienced Electrical Supervisors to support upcoming Raw Coal MCC replacement works at Goonyella Mine near Moranbah.
Each Supervisor will lead a crew of approximately eight electrical tradespeople undertaking the removal of existing Motor Control Centres and installation of new MCC equipment within an operational coal mine.
This is a short-term shutdown opportunity working 12-hour shifts on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
You will be responsible for coordinating daily work fronts and ensuring all electrical installation activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with site requirements and the shutdown schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a crew of approximately eight electrical tradespeople Coordinate daily pre-starts, work fronts, labour allocation and shift handovers Oversee electrical isolations, lock-out/tag-out procedures, permits and site compliance Supervise the identification, disconnection and removal of existing Raw Coal MCC equipment Coordinate the positioning, assembly and installation of new MCC panels and associated equipment Oversee cable identification, rerouting, glanding and termination of power, control and instrumentation cabling Review electrical drawings, schematics, cable schedules and termination details Coordinate interfaces with operations, mechanical trades, commissioning personnel and other contractors Monitor progress,
productivity and labour requirements against the shutdown schedule Ensure installations meet project specifications, site standards and applicable electrical requirements Manage quality inspections, testing records, red-line drawings, punch lists and handover documentation Support electrical testing, energisation and commissioning activities Identify and escalate technical issues, access constraints and schedule risks Maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and workforce performance About You Current unrestricted electrical licence Standard 11 Current Coal Board Medical S1, S2 and S3 or G2, G8 and G9 competencies Current confined space training Demonstrated experience supervising crews within mining, shutdown or brownfield environments Previous experience with MCC replacement works, switchboard installations or electrical upgrades Sound understanding of electrical isolations, permitting and high-risk work controls Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and cable schedules Strong leadership, planning and communication skills Commitment to delivering work safely, efficiently and to a high standard Existing Goonyella Mine authorisations will be highly regarded Why Join CE Group?
