Located approximately 170km west of Clermont, this well-respected family-owned cattle business operates across several Central Queensland properties, running approximately 12,000 Droughtmaster/Brahman cross cattle.
One of the properties is being further developed into a rotational grazing block, creating an excellent long-term prospect for a reliable caretaker couple.
Reporting directly to the property owners, this position is ideal for a practical couple who enjoy rural living, take pride in maintaining a property and are capable of working independently.
While the wider operation runs horses, motorbikes, trucks, graders, dozers, telehandlers and other machinery, this role is focused on property presentation, maintenance and keeping an eye on the place rather than livestock production.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: Monitor the property, stock water, dams and bores, reporting any issues directly to the owners.




Maintain fencing, gardens, lawns, buildings, house surrounds and contractor accommodation to a high standard.
Complete general property maintenance including basic plumbing, repairs and upkeep of infrastructure.
Work together as a couple to keep the property clean, tidy, secure and well presented.
Selection Criteria: Couple required, both willing to contribute to the day-to-day care and presentation of the property.
Experience managing stock water systems with the ability to carry out basic plumbing and maintenance.
Sound practical skills including general mechanical knowledge and property repairs.
Self-motivated, trustworthy and capable of working independently with strong communication skills.
Additional Particulars: Accommodation provided (house); power included.
Negotiable remuneration based on experience, plus meat and basic groceries supplied.
Personal animals are welcome, with a chook pen already established.
Full-time, long-term caretaker opportunity with very limited cattle work required.
