Artist/Support Worker (Casual)
Location: Burswood & offsite locations
Hours: 1 day per week (casual, with flexibility around events)
Pay: SCHADS Award level 2

We are looking for creative, compassionate, and dedicated individuals to support people with disabilities through arts-based programs and activities.

About the Role
As an Artist/Support Worker, you will support and facilitate creative arts-based programs for people with disabilities in both home and community group settings.
This role focuses on building confidence, independence, creativity, and social participation through the arts.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and support creative arts-based activities (visual arts, performing arts, music, etc.) in home and community group settings
Provide individual and group support to enhance independence, well-being, and social participation
Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and community access as required
Collaborate with participants, families, and team members to develop tailored support plans
Foster an inclusive,
engaging, and empowering environment
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for:
Disability Support Workers with experience or a solid interest in the arts
Artists (visual, performing, music, etc.) with experience supporting people with disabilities or a willingness to train in disability support
Skills & Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience or qualifications in either the arts or disability support (or both)
A creative, adaptable approach to working with individuals of all abilities
Understanding of person-centred practices and the importance of community inclusion
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Community Service
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Working With Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check (desirable)
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
