The prospect
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Yatala branch on a full-time basis.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our Yatala facility.
You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, quality and profitability across the branch whilst ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team and make a significant impact on our business growth and success.
Key responsibilities
Oversee all daily operational activities at the Yatala branch, including inventory management, order fulfilment and logistics coordination
Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and safety
Implement and maintain operational procedures and systems to ensure efficiency, quality standards and regulatory compliance
Monitor and control operational costs whilst maximising productivity and profitability
Manage customer relationships and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives and business plans
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance
Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across the operations
Manage supplier relationships
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, financial metrics and key performance indicators
What we're looking for
Proven experience in an operations management role within manufacturing, logistics or a related industry
Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean management or continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in using operational management systems and software
Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
A commitment to safety culture and continuous operational excellence
Relevant tertiary qualifications in operations management, business administration or a related field would be advantageous
