Our close Federal Government client is currently looking for a Construction Security Manager / Project Manager (Corporate Manager Construction Security) to work on a number of large-scale domestic and international projects.
This is a unique position sitting within the clients Construction Security team, combining project delivery, vendor engagement, logistics, procurement, contract and financial management, governance, risk management and the development of construction security policy and procedures.
The role will support security across the clients facilities and overseas posts.
This is a "one of a kind" role - incorporating a number of verticals, which gives it a niche flavor and keeps things very interesting.
MTP has worked closely with this team for several years.
We currently supply the Corporate Manager Construction Security, which is the technical title for this position, along with multiple Site Security Managers delivering major projects nationally and internationally.
This gives us a strong understanding of the team, the setting and what the client is looking for in the right person.
Primary responsibilities include establishing and managing robust governance protocols, asset and logistics management, contributing to the development and implementation of project plans by providing insights and recommendations based on procurement and contract management experience.
Multi-Year Contract NV1/NV2 Security Clearance Required
The tasks will include (but not limited to):
Provide corporate support and coordinate operational advice in the preparation of procurement activities.
Undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement planning.




Coordinate operational input and provide advice and support to tender processes and technical evaluations.
Delivery of presentations and produce high level written reports.
Engagement with enabling areas to coordinate the delivery of activities.
Ensure projects are delivered - taking direct responsibility for corporate action items – in line with the security management plan.
Prepare project and financial documentation to inform governance committees.
Coordinate extension, renewal or close-out of contracts and monitor and report on agreed key operational performance indicators.
Risk management.
Corporate document management and filing.
Mailbox management and tasking coordination.
Coordinate and develop construction security policy and procedures.
Develop and review safe work method statements.
Oversee management of team assets.
All tasks will be performed with minimal direction and will require a high level of initiative to deliver positive results.The role may require domestic and international travel from time to time.
