Hays Recruitment is a leading agency in Australia's Trades and Labour sector, partnering with a range of electrical clients across the Gold Coast region.
Your new role
We are currently partnering with a range of clients, including local hospitals, maintenance providers, and residential and commercial contractors.
As a qualified electrician, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Testing and tagging equipment
Rough in and fit out of commercial electrical systems
Home rewires and refurbishments and full-scale renovations
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
Diagnosing and fault-finding on electrical systems
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
Installing conduits, switchboards, panels, wiring, switches, and electrical components
Performing upgrades and modifications to existing electrical systems
Commissioning and testing new installations
Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations




Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults in a timely manner
Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting of completed work
What you'll need to succeed
White Card
Current CPR/LVR certification
Own hand and electrical tools
Reliability and a strong work ethic
Satisfactory employment references
Recent experience in electrical work
Australian Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
Elevated Work Platform (under or over 11m)
