We are seeking professional, reflective and child-safe educators who understand that child safety is a shared legal, ethical and practice responsibility. Successful applicants will be expected to uphold the National Quality Framework, the National Quality Standard, the approved learning framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations as they apply in NSW, the NSW Child Safe Standards and CCPS policies and procedures at all times.

Educator positions: Essential criteria
We are seeking Diploma qualified, Certificate III qualified and regular casual educators who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, sound judgement and a solid commitment to child safety and high-quality early childhood education and care.
To be successful, applicants must be able to demonstrate:
· A recognised Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
· Availability to work a flexible roster between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday
· Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, the National Quality Standard,



the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations as they apply in NSW, including current child safety, staffing, supervision, record-keeping and policy requirements
· Strong understanding of the approved learning framework,
Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia
, including its principles, practices and learning outcomes
· Demonstrated commitment to the NSW Child Safe Standards, including embedding child safety in leadership, culture, relationships, supervision, routines, documentation, communication, complaints handling, risk management and decision-making
· Current understanding of NSW child protection obligations, including mandatory reporting, the Mandatory Reporter Guide, risk of significant harm, reportable conduct obligations, the NSW Early Learning Commission Reporting Guide, and reporting to relevant authorities where required
· Commitment to maintaining skilled boundaries, active supervision, appropriate physical contact, safe use of digital technologies, respectful communication and prompt escalation of any child safety concern
· Ability to identify, respond to and report concerns relating to child safety, welfare, wellbeing, abuse, neglect, ill-treatment, inappropriate conduct or breaches of professional conduct
· Ability to observe, document and assess children's learning and development, and to use this information to create responsive individual and group planning
· A professional, reliable and ethical approach, with the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team culture
· Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive and respectful practice with children, families, colleagues and the community
· Current verified Working with Children Check clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance before commencing child-related work
· Current approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
· Current child protection training relevant to early childhood education and care in NSW, with a commitment to completing any required refresher or additional training
Child-Safe Recruitment and Employment Requirements
CCPS is committed to strict child-safe recruitment and ongoing child-secure employment practices.



Applicants will be assessed for their suitability to work with children, including their understanding of child-safe practice, professional boundaries, ethical conduct, mandatory reporting, reportable conduct obligations and willingness to uphold the rights, safety, welfare and wellbeing of every child. Screening may include verification of identity, qualifications, Working with Children Check clearance, referee checks, employment history, child protection training, and reasonable enquiries to determine whether a prospective staff member is subject to any prohibition, suspension, supervision notice, enforceable undertaking or other regulatory action relevant to child-related work. A Working with Children Check is only one part of the screening process and does not replace the service's broader responsibility to recruit, supervise, train and support staff who are secure and suitable to work with children.
Successful applicants must comply with the service's Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, Child Safe Environment Policy, Staffing Policy, supervision procedures, complaints and reporting procedures, digital technology expectations and all lawful directions relating to child safety. Any concern relating to a child's safety, welfare or wellbeing must be identified, documented, escalated and reported in accordance with NSW legal and regulatory requirements and CCPS policies and procedures.
CCPS also maintains child-secure systems for induction, ongoing supervision, professional learning, record keeping, child protection risk assessment, attendance and accountability practices, complaints management, and regular review of child-safe policies and procedures.

· Details of three current professional referees, including at least one recent supervisor where possible
· Copies of relevant qualifications, training certificates and current clearances, where applicable
· Evidence of current child protection training and Working with Children Check clearance, or confirmation that these requirements can be met before commencement of child-related work
