Summary:
Kick-start your IT career with hands-on experience, formal training and the opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology.
Sharp Office is looking for a technically minded
Junior IT & Printer Technician
to join our team.
This is a great chance for someone starting their career in IT who enjoys solving problems, working with technology and getting out from behind the desk.
No previous printer or photocopier experience is required – we'll provide the training.
For the right candidate, we are also happy to establish a traineeship and support you to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology while you work.
About Sharp Office
Sharp Office is a locally owned business with a team of around 25 people, providing technology and office solutions to businesses across our region.
We like to strike the right balance between professional and down-to-earth. We take our work and our customer service seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.
You'll be joining our nine-person Service Team, where you'll have experienced technicians around you to learn from, ask questions and provide support. We're a close-knit team and believe in helping each other out, sharing knowledge and giving people the opportunity to develop their skills.
The Role
Modern multifunction printers are connected devices that form part of a business's IT environment. Working with Sharp and Kyocera technology, you'll learn to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain these devices across our customer sites.
You'll learn to:
Install and configure multifunction printers and photocopiers
Install print drivers and set up laptops and PCs for printing
Configure network printing and scanning

Set up scan-to-email and scan-to-folder
Configure basic IP and network settings
Troubleshoot printing, scanning, software and connectivity issues
Diagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs and maintenance
Provide friendly, professional onsite support to customers
About You
We're looking for aptitude and attitude rather than experience.
You may be a school leaver, studying IT, working in an entry-level IT role, or simply someone who has always enjoyed computers and figuring out how technology works.
You'll ideally:
Have a genuine interest in IT, computers and technology
Enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems
Be keen to learn both IT and hands-on technical skills
Communicate confidently with customers
Be reliable, organised and willing to learn
Hold a current Australian driver's licence
Basic knowledge of Windows, networking or computer hardware would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
What We Offer
Opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology traineeship
Earn while you learn with practical, real-world IT experience
Full training across Sharp, Kyocera and HDI technology
Hands-on experience with networking, Windows, printing and scanning
Plenty of support and mentoring from our experienced Service Team
A friendly, down-to-earth workplace where people know and support each other
A varied role across different customer environments
Opportunities to grow your technical skills and career
If you love technology, enjoy solving problems and want an IT career that isn't spent sitting behind a desk all day, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now and tell us why you're interested in starting a career in technology.
