Routy's Plumbing & Gas is seeking an experienced Plumbing Construction Project Manager to take complete ownership of the delivery of a landmark multi-residential development in Subiaco.
This isn't a support role.
You'll be the person responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, profitably, on programme and to the high standard our clients expect.
You'll have the authority to make decisions, lead your team and drive outcomes while working alongside one of Perth's most respected builders and developers.
We're looking for someone who treats every project as if it were their own business.
About the RoleAs Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the plumbing package from current stage through to practical completion.
You'll oversee every aspect of the project, ensuring it is delivered safely, efficiently, profitably and in accordance with all contractual and compliance requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Full ownership of the project's delivery, programme, profitability and client satisfaction.
Planning and coordinating labour resources to maximise productivity and achieve programme milestones.
Managing procurement, material ordering and cost control to ensure efficient project delivery.
Monitoring project budgets, labour costs, productivity and financial performance to achieve target margins.
Leading and mentoring site supervisors, plumbers and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and accountability.
Working closely with builders, consultants and suppliers to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.
Ensuring all works comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, hydraulic specifications and contractual requirements.
Managing Quality Assurance throughout construction, including inspections, testing, commissioning, defect prevention and project handover.
Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all WHS legislation, company procedures and site requirements.
Identifying project risks early and implementing practical solutions to minimise delays and protect profitability.
Providing regular reporting on project progress, programme, commercial performance and key risks to senior management.
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders while representing Routy's Plumbing & Gas on site.
About YouYou'll be an experienced commercial plumbing qualified who enjoys taking ownership, leading people and delivering outstanding project outcomes.
You'll bring:
WA Plumbing Licence (Essential).
Demonstrated experience managing commercial or multi-residential plumbing projects.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, labour productivity and project profitability.
Ability to jump in and understand a live project
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
High-level planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of hydraulic drawings,
specifications and construction documentation.
Thorough knowledge of QA systems, WHS legislation and commercial construction processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with builders, consultants, suppliers and clients.
