This is a Permanent position working
22.8 hours per fortnight.
This position is based at the Royal Perth
Hospital.
We are seeking a dynamic,
enthusiastic, and suitably qualified individual to appoint to a
Nurse Manager role that has become available within the Medical
Division at the Royal Perth Hospital.
About the Role: The Nurse Manager (NM) is
responsible for nursing and maternity management within an assigned
area.
The NM ensures coordination and optimum use of resources
through planning, organising, leading, and controlling human,
material and financial resources.
The role is responsible for
implementing standards and changes to practice and quality
improvement activities related to the management function, to
benefit all customers of the position.
Key duties include, but are
not limited to;
Role models a positive organisational culture in line with
EMHS vision and values.
Demonstrates collaborative leadership with other Senior
Registered Nurses (SRN's) to promote cohesive leadership for
the division and ward/department.
Develops standards and policies for the area of specialty
using evidence-based approach, developing innovative methods
and techniques for effective practice and change with the
Hospital and Health Service.
Performs duties in accordance with the EMHS Vision and
Values, WA Health Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety
legislation, the Disability Services Act and the Equal
Opportunity Act and Government, WA Health, EMHS and
Departmental / Program specific policies and procedures.

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health
Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service
network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing
of more than 828,000 Western Australians in its catchment

emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency
