About the role
Horizon Mining Energy and Civil - HMEC is currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics / Heavy Duty Fitters on both 2&1 and 2&2 rosters to join our growing mining operations team based on numerous sites in the Goldfield / Murchison Regions of Western Australia.
This is a casual to full time position with the potential for ongoing work as part of our dynamic and collaborative workforce.
What you'll be doing
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of heavy mining equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and haul trucks
Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs to the highest safety and quality standards
Reporting on equipment status and maintenance activities to the team
Collaborating with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate workflows
What we're looking for
Formally qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic or Heavy Duty Fitter with 3+ years of experience in a mining or heavy industry environment
Demonstrated expertise in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy mobile plant and equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues




Commitment to working safely and in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
