Position PurposeThe Wine Loft Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, strategic direction and customer experience of both the Wine Loft retail business and BŌTO restaurant.
This is a leadership role focused on driving commercial performance, developing the team and ensuring exceptional service standards across both operations.
The role is supported by two key leaders:
Sommelier – responsible for the day-to-day operation and development of the retail wine offering.
Front of House Manager – responsible for the daily operation of the restaurant floor and service team.
The Wine Loft Manager provides strategic direction,
support and oversight while ensuring both businesses operate as one premium destination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Wine Loft and BŌTO teams.
Support the Sommelier and Front of House Manager to achieve operational excellence.
Drive sales, profitability and wage performance.
Oversee rostering and departmental financial performance to align with budgets.
Maintain exceptional presentation and service standards.
Manage stock, supplier relationships and purchasing.
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Plan and support wine tastings, events and promotional activities.
Work closely with the wider management team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
About YouYou are an experienced hospitality or retail leader with a passion for wine, food and customer service.
You are commercially minded, lead by example and enjoy developing people and building successful teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous leadership experience in hospitality, premium retail or wine.
Robust communication and team leadership skills.
Financial and operational management experience.
Current RSA and Approved Manager certification (or ability to obtain).
