The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic, organizational, and public leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Board-approved strategic direction, delivering the Strategic Plan **** to ****, and strengthening the company's position as a peak body for reconciliation.
This role demands a highly visible, diplomatic, and resilient leader who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and build trusted relationships across various communities.
Key responsibilities include leading the delivery of the strategic plan, providing high-quality advice to support Board decision-making, and representing the company as a credible voice for reconciliation.
The CEO will also be tasked with securing financial sustainability, leading a high-performing organization, and driving transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.




Candidates for the CEO position at the company should be exceptional senior leaders with a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and aspirations.
The role requires a demonstrated commitment to reconciliation, truth-telling, equity, and self-determination.
The ideal candidate will have extensive senior executive leadership experience, solid governance, risk, and financial management capabilities, and a proven track record in strategy delivery and measurable social impact.
Outstanding stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and develop inclusive, culturally safe, and high-performing teams.
Experience in membership, advocacy, communications, governance, or public affairs will be highly regarded, and the candidate should possess high levels of personal integrity, cultural capability, authenticity, and sound judgment.
