In the Store Manager's absence,



you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the store.You will help lead Department Managers and broader store teams to deliver:Outstanding customer serviceStrong merchandising and presentation standardsEffective stock and inventory controlSales growth and operational performancePositive team culture and accountabilityHigh standards of safety and complianceThis is a highly hands-on leadership role where you will lead from the front, support day-to-day store operations, maintain high store standards, and drive results through effective leadership, rostering, merchandising, stock management, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and team performanceTake responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absenceLead, coach, and support Department Managers and broader store teamsManage labour productivity through effective rostering and task allocationEnsure stock availability remains high while maintaining inventory accuracyDrive sales through strong merchandising, presentation, and promotional executionExecute catalogue activity, seasonal events, displays, and in-store promotionsMaintain high standards of customer service, store presentation, and complianceRespond to customer concerns professionally and efficientlyEnsure food safety, WHS, and company policies are consistently upheldTour the sales floor regularly to identify operational priorities and customer needsProvide ongoing coaching and training to team members to maintain operational standardsBuild strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local communityIdentify opportunities to improve store operations, team performance,



and customer experienceWhat We're Looking For2+ years' experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Grocery Manager, Department Manager, or FMCG Retail SupervisorStrong leadership and team development skillsExcellent understanding of merchandising, stock control, and supermarket operationsAbility to lead teams within fast-paced retail environmentsCustomer-focused and community-minded approachHands-on leadership style with robust problem-solving abilityAbility to drive accountability while maintaining a positive team cultureEssential RequirementsFull Australian working rightsAvailability to work day shifts, weekends, and retail trading hours as requiredAbility to thrive in a high-volume retail environmentComfortable working in cold storage areas when requiredAble to pass police checks and drug & alcohol screening if requestedCandidates currently based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, or interstate are strongly encouraged to apply.
