HSR (Aust) Group is committed to professional, friendly service and cost‐effective, practical solutions tailored to client needs.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Stonemasons and Bricklayers based in Adelaide & Melbourne, Day-to-day responsibilities include cutting, shaping, and laying stone and brick, restoring and repairing masonry structures, and working with traditional and contemporary construction materials and techniques.
The role involves reading and interpreting plans, preparing and mixing mortars, setting out work areas, and ensuring structures are built or restored to high safety and quality standards.
Team members will collaborate closely with supervisors, other trades, and apprentices on heritage conservation projects, residential alterations, and commercial works.
The position may also involve using hand and power tools, operating access equipment, maintaining a clean and safe worksite,



and contributing to training and knowledge-sharing within the team.QualificationsRelevant trade qualification or apprenticeship completion in stonemasonry, bricklaying, or a closely related masonry discipline.Demonstrated experience in stone conservation, restoration, or heritage masonry work, including use of traditional techniques and materials.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications for residential and commercial projects.Strong practical skills in cutting, shaping, laying, and pointing stone and brick, with attention to detail and finish quality.Solid understanding of construction site safety requirements, safe use of tools and equipment, and compliance with WHS regulations.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions, and coordinate with supervisors and other trades.Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labour, work at heights, and in varying outdoor conditions.Reliable time management, strong work ethic, and flexibility to adapt to different project types and timelines.Current driver's license and reliable transport to sites in and around Adelaide & Melbourne.Experience with heritage-listed buildings or environmentally sustainable construction practices is highly regarded.
