24 months with potential to extendPay rate: $****** per hour plus 12% superSecurity requirements: Must have the right to work in Australia.OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Urban and Land Development Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex land development and urban infrastructure projects across Canberra.
Working within a high-performing delivery environment, you will manage projects from the sales process through to completion, ensuring successful delivery against contractual obligations, government priorities, commercial objectives and community outcomes.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong program management capability, stakeholder engagement skills and experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or development projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex land development and urban infrastructure projects.
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks and resources to achieve agreed outcomes.
Oversee project governance, reporting and compliance with contractual and legislative requirements.
Coordinate project planning, design, procurement, construction and handover activities.
Prepare high-quality reports and briefings for senior executives and key stakeholders.
Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, contractors, developers, consultants and community stakeholders.
Lead procurement and contract management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify, assess and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Provide strategic and operational advice to support informed decision-making.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.




Ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably and in line with quality and performance expectations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
Experience/requirements:
Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience in project management, engineering, architecture or a related discipline.
A White Card, Asbestos Awareness Card and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Card (or the ability to obtain them) will be required.
Demonstrated experience managing complex infrastructure, urban development or major capital works projects.
Strong program and project management skills across planning, delivery, governance and reporting.
Experience managing procurement, contracts, commercial outcomes and project risk.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across government, industry and community.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
Robust written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive reports and briefings.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while managing competing priorities and tight timeframes.
