We have been engaged to find experienced Systems, Integration and Platform Engineers for multiple opportunities supporting a major Australian Government ICT capability.
These are not traditional BAU infrastructure roles.
You will join multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for integrating, implementing and sustaining complex ICT capability where interoperability, resilience, security and engineering rigour are critical to operational success.
Working across the systems engineering lifecycle, you will collaborate with architects, security specialists, project teams and technical stakeholders to deliver solutions that transition successfully from design through implementation into operational service.
Depending on your background, you may contribute across systems engineering, solution integration, platform engineering or technical implementation.
What you'll be doingResponsibilities will vary depending on your area of expertise, but may include:
analysing business, functional and technical requirements to support solution design producing engineering artefacts including interface specifications, implementation documentation, build guides and technical designs integrating applications, infrastructure and services across complex enterprise environments designing and validating interfaces between systems, platforms and external services building, configuring and optimising secure ICT platforms supporting system integration, verification, testing and transition activities investigating technical issues and resolving integration challenges across multiple technology domains working with architects to ensure implemented solutions align with enterprise standards and engineering principles contributing to engineering governance, technical assurance and configuration management throughout the delivery lifecycle.




What we're looking for We're interested in professionals who understand that successful integration isn't simply about connecting systems – it's about delivering capability that is reliable, supportable and fit for operational use.
You will likely have experience within Defence, National Security, Federal Government or other highly regulated enterprise environments delivering complex ICT solutions, where documentation, engineering discipline and stakeholder collaboration are essential.
Experience in several of the following will be highly regarded:
Systems Engineering Systems Integration Platform Engineering Enterprise ICT Requirements Engineering Interface Design Solution Implementation Technical Assurance Windows Server and Linux administration VMware or virtualisation technologies Kubernetes or container platforms Cloud and hybrid hosting environments REST APIs, middleware and enterprise integration Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence Configuration Management Engineering change processes Verification and Validation (V&V;) ITIL, Agile or SAFe delivery environments Experience working with secure networks, mission-critical systems or high-assurance technology environments will be viewed favourably.The person we're seeking You're naturally curious, technically capable and comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines.
