Nets Tasmania is developing a world-class net maintenance facility at Scotts Road, Cairns Bay, to support the business' continued growth in aquaculture net repair and maintenance services.
The site will be one of the largest single purpose facilities in Southern Tasmania and will include open and undercover net slab work areas, warehousing, and state-of-art job management assets and work facilities.
About the Role
We're looking for reliable and motivated Net Repairer to join our Team.
You'll be part of a small crew working outdoors across various sites in Southern Tasmania, helping to maintain and repair aquaculture nets both on land and on the water.
If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive team that values safety and quality, this could be the chance for you.




Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of aquaculture nets
• Identify net damage and carry out repairs using specialised tools and techniques
• Read and follow simple diagrams and work instructions
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant worksite
• Keep accurate records of work completed
• Be willing to travel from time to time
What You'll Bring
• A current driver's licence or reliable transport
• Willingness and ability to undertake physical outdoor work
• Ability to work right-handed
• Solid teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
• Willingness to follow instructions and learn on the job
• Previous experience in aquaculture, marine, or maintenance work is beneficial
