Job DescriptionThe Trustee for Yasme Trust Waiter – Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld Dunkeld, VIC ABOUT THE ROLE As a Waiter, you will play a key role in delivering a refined, qualified and memorable dining experience.
This role suits individuals with a genuine passion for food, wine and thoughtful service.
Key Responsibilities Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Preparing and setting tables, ensuring the dining room is presented to the highest standard Greeting guests warmly, presenting menus and beverage lists, and introducing the dining experience Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, daily specials and potential substitutions Taking accurate food and beverage orders and communicating these effectively with kitchen and bar teams Delivering food and beverages in the correct sequence and with attention to detail Opening bottles, pouring beverages correctly and maintaining glassware throughout service Providing informed wine recommendations to complement food selections where appropriate Clearing tables efficiently, removing used plates, cutlery, glassware and empty bottles, and resetting tables Monitoring guest comfort and responding promptly and professionally to requests or concerns Processing payments and operating point-of-sale systems and cash registers Following service, hygiene, safety and operational procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery ABOUT YOU
You will ideally bring: A Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality , or At least one year of relevant experience in fine dining, formal service, drink waiting, sommelier service or a similar hospitality role A genuine passion for food,
