About the role
The Yard Gym is seeking a Creche Worker to join our team in East Perth, WA ****.
This is a casual position that plays a vital role in providing safe, nurturing, and engaging childcare for our members' children whilst they enjoy our fitness facilities.
As a Creche Worker, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and have fun.
This role is essential to enabling our members to focus on their fitness journey with peace of mind, knowing their children are in capable and caring hands.
Key responsibilities
Supervise children in a safe, clean and well-maintained creche environment
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, development and enjoyment
Provide personal care assistance including nappy changes, feeding and toileting as required
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, incidents, and any relevant health or behavioural observations
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's activities, behaviour and wellbeing during their time at the creche
Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including emergency procedures and hygiene standards
Support the development of children through play-based learning and positive interactions
Maintain a clean and sanitised creche space, including toys, equipment and facilities
Work collaboratively with other creche staff to ensure smooth operations and consistency in care
What we're looking for
Current Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification
Demonstrated experience working with children of various ages in a formal childcare setting




Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with children and parents
Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach to childcare
Knowledge of child development and best practice in early childhood education
Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to medical and emergency situations
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work casual hours as required
Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene
