Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Technician

We're seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Mechanic to join our Tamworth team, maintaining and rebuilding a broad range of Caterpillar machinery in a modern, well‐equipped workshop environment.
This is a
permanent, Monday to Friday day‐shift role
— ideal if you want to stay local, sleep in your own bed, and still work with industry‐leading equipment.
What you'll do
Diagnose, service, repair and rebuild CAT® earthmoving and construction equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and major overhauls in a workshop setting
Use OEM diagnostic tools and systems to identify faults efficiently
Maintain high safety, quality and housekeeping standards
Work alongside a supportive, highly experienced workshop team
What you'll bring
Trade qualified Plant Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)
Experience working on mobile plant or heavy equipment
CAT® or other OEM experience highly regarded
Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
Australian recognised trade certificate & transcripts
Current Australian driver's licence
Team‐focused attitude with pride in quality workmanship
