About the role
You will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for approximately
63 children each day
, while managing allergies, dietary requirements, food safety, ordering and the day-to-day organisation of the kitchen.
The position offers:

No nights or weekends

We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a
cook or chef, ideally within an early childhood or similar setting
Understands food allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements
Can confidently prepare meals in bulk
Has solid food safety and hygiene practices
Is organised and able to independently manage a busy kitchen
Can plan menus, order stock and manage food supplies
Enjoys being part of a warm and collaborative workplace
Understands the importance of providing nutritious and enjoyable food for young children
Our previous Centre Cook remained with us for many years, and we are looking for someone who would like to make the kitchen their own and become a valued, long-term member of our Centre community.
