About the Role
As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing of heavy earthmoving tyres and wheel assemblies across our mining fleet.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out tyre rotations, pressure checks and tyre inspections
Removing and fitting heavy earthmoving tyres, wheels and rim assemblies
Recording tyre usage and maintenance information accurately
Conducting tyre and wheel inspections in accordance with site requirements
Working independently while following direction and established procedures
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to practical solutions
Maintaining a solid safety culture and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant experience fitting
heavy earthmoving/off-the-road tyres
AURKTJ011 – Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving/off-the-road tyres
AURKTJ012 – Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving/off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies
RIIMPO208F – Operate support equipment
RIISAM202E – Isolate and access plant
RIISAM301F – Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment
Current Queensland Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain
Current Standard 11, or willingness to obtain
A strong commitment to safety
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
