Part time (0.5 FTE) fixed term until 31/7/2027Opportunity to drive strategic engagement programs and partnerships that connect the School with its communities and future students at the School of Social and Political SciencesHEO 6 Base Salary $107,312- $115,686 pro rata p.a. + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe School of Social and Political Sciences is seeking an Engagement Officer to support the School's strategic engagement priorities, with a broad focus on developing and delivering community and industry engagement activities.Working closely with the Head of School and School Manager, the Engagement Officer will support the implementation of the School's External Engagement Strategy, alumni engagement and current student programs, including providing administrative support, managing effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating engagement activities and identifying current engagement opportunities.
The Engagement Officer will support the School's outreach and program activities, to increase discipline-specific awareness amongst high school students and build our pipeline of future students.Your key responsibilities will be to:provide high-quality, proactive and efficient administrative services and support to staff, students, external partners and stakeholders, contributing to the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the School's External Engagement Strategycoordinate and deliver programs, projects and events, including community engagement, industry engagement, high school outreach, alumni engagement and current student initiativesbuild and maintain collaborative relationships and strategic partnershipsdevelop and implement communication and engagement activitiesmonitor performance, reporting and continuous improvement.About youBachelor's degree in a relevant discipline,



or an equivalent combination of relevant training and professional experienceDemonstrated experience developing and delivering engagement programs, events, and activities that drive participation and achieve target audience outcomesProven ability to establish, negotiate, and manage effective partnership agreements and stakeholder relationshipsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and manage competing prioritiesHighly developed organisational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and relationship management skills, with a collaborative approach to teamworkProficiency in CRM systems and computer applications, with experience creating engagement tools and using data to support planning and continuous improvement.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.Pre-employment checks and declarationsYour employment is conditional upon the successful completion of all pre-employment or background checks required for the role in terms satisfactory to the University.
