With strong executive commitment to safety and investment in additional capability, this is an opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping the next phase of the organisation's safety journey.
This is
not a traditional compliance-focused Safety Advisor role
.
The priority is to be visible across the operation, build trusted relationships and understand how work is actually performed.
The Role

Providing practical safety advice and support
Identifying emerging risks, trends and opportunities for improvement
Supporting incident investigations and organisational learning
Conducting field-based assurance and verification activities
Improving safety systems, reporting, processes and documentation
Contributing to the development of a comprehensive operational risk profile
Supporting the broader uplift in safety maturity across the business
The operating environment includes
transport, logistics, equipment, mobile plant and field-based activities
, so practical operational experience is important.
About You
You will be an experienced Safety Advisor who enjoys being close to operations and building genuine relationships with people at all levels.
Experience in transport, logistics, construction, manufacturing, industrial operations, heavy industry, mining or mobile plant environments would be highly relevant.
You will bring:
Practical WHS and risk management experience
Experience supporting incident investigations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A curious, cooperative and solutions-focused approach
The confidence to challenge respectfully and influence without authority
The ability to work autonomously across multiple sites
A genuine willingness to travel across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and regional Queensland as required
Experience in injury management, return to work, workers' compensation or assurance would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a business with genuine appetite for change and improvement, where safety has strong senior leadership support.
You will have the opportunity to:
Make a visible and meaningful impact
Help shape the future safety strategy
Build strong relationships across a growing national operation
Work closely with senior safety leadership
Develop broad operational exposure
Position yourself for
future leadership opportunities
as the Eastern Seaboard safety function grows
If you're a practical safety professional who believes the best safety outcomes come from
working with people, not policing them
, we'd like to hear from you.
