Infrastructure Supervisor
Located approximately 550km south-west of Cairns and just south of the base of the Gulf of Carpentaria, in the heart of the Gulf Savannah country, lies the quaint and beautiful town of Croydon.

The Position:The Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for the effective day-to-day coordination, maintenance and management of Council's buildings, facilities, staff housing, heavy plant and vehicle fleet.
The role ensures that Council assets are maintained to a high standard through the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, contractor engagement, asset and maintenance record management, and the timely resolution of operational requests.
The position also supports the delivery of capital works and infrastructure projects, contributing to productive service delivery, asset sustainability and positive community outcomes across the Shire.




Skills / Experience Required:To be successful in the role, you willneed:
Relevant trade, engineering or technical qualification, or substantial equivalent experience.
Whilst not mandatory, experience in mechanical operations and/or Local Government infrastructure maintenance is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly manner.
Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook and other business applications.
Proven supervisory and team leadership experience
Strong project delivery and contractor management skills
Financial and budgeting capability
Knowledge of relevant legislation (water, WHS, local government)
High level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Current C Class Driver's Licence
